...about art theft on dA is seeing the offender getting compliments, AND GRACIOUSLY ACCEPTING THEM for something they traced from my work, and more than likely, a dozen or so other artists. Especially when they're getting compliments from cool people and great artists from whom I'd very much appreciate such attention.

Thief: "My latest work, not quite as good as I'd like, but enjoy!"
Real Artist: "WELL EXCUUUUUSE ME, I'LL DO BETTER NEXT TIME"

Commenter: "The pose and positioning are quite nice, lovely emotion and the hands are quite well done."
Thief: Thanks!!!
Real Artist: "THAT'S MY LINE YOU @#%$@&%#!"

For some reason tracing seems worse than just taking the image. When they just take it, essentially they're just pretending to be you, all the compliments may be in the wrong place but they're still meant for the creator of the artwork, which is the real artist.

I think I know why some of the more-oft-stolen-from artists around here just sick their fans on thieves, must save them a lot of trouble, and personally it sounds like fun hohoho~

I was working on a commission of Gwendolyn from Odin Sphere Apparently someone was going around taking pictures of everyone's merchandise. As you can see most of my merch is just chopped from my pictures *lazy*. Half my stuff was sold out by the time this pic was taken, though. I want to have more larger prints next time... all the 11x17s people had hanging from those PVC displays were so pretty.

I'm kinda ticked though over the method of signing up for A-Kon Artist Alley next year. Once I'm finally in a position where I don't have to worry about getting a table, they change the system so I'll once again be in a panic over it ;_;

That's what they get for replacing my anime, manga, and Japanese culture magazine with something smaller and very different, content-wise. Still a little tired, and don't feel like writing up a full report, but the con was great! I really enjoyed it. A little sad it's over, but glad to be home. AnimeFest is in 3 months! Yay! Hope to make some progress on my big projects between now and then.

It was soooo great hanging out with , as well as and her sister. They are such awesome people. I never got to repay them for the tea they brought me! D= I was all starstruck meeting one of my favorite artists evar

The staff was great, other artists were great. Customers were great. Hotel was great. The smell was... fishy.

Ugh I feel terrible. Why can't they make a cough syrup that doesn't taste awful? I find it so interesting that some of the most potent poisons are totally odorless/colorless/tasteless but common pain relievers taste deadly. I can't sleep and my head hurts and my mom yelled at me when I woke her up going through the medicine cabinet, feel sorry for me plx. Thanks. Feelin better already, must be the codeine.

Anyways, has anyone watched the TV show Oban Star Racers? I thought it was great. It's coming out on 2 cheap DVDs with lots of features, you guys should pick it up and support future Japanese/Western animation collaborations. I really liked the designs, animation/style and story and music.

And now to A-Kooooonnn! Who's going? Who who?? It's in like a week... sorta, I'm getting there on Thursday. I'll be there selling crap, table F19 wooooo, right next to me friend who is next to her friend , who is so awesome she makes everyone within at least a 4 table radius awesome by proximity. Actually I'm terrible at advertising. Mom says I'm socially retarded. Is that mean? People tell me that's mean. Anyways, I'll have buttons, badges, prints, keychains, idol cards, what else what else... bigger poster prints of my KH fanart. Is that it? Sheesh... what have I been doing with my time? It doesn't sound like a lot but it will feel like a lot when dragging it up the elevators. Oh yeah! Bookmarks too. Knew I was forgetting something. Lots of original stuff that won't sell, and then stuff from Haruhi, Lucky Star, Avatar, FLCL, ComiPa, KH and Naruto (The last 2 are required if you want to sell in the alley. They don't let you in if you're just a waste of space.... I'm kidding, but srsly, you guys need to broaden your interests.) I wanted to make stuff for Bleach, Gurren-Lagann and Deathnote too but I don't think I'll have time.

So I'm officially a graduate now~ no more High School for me. I'm gonna miss the place though. I got a modest amount of money, which was nice haha. I wanted to use it for spending $$$ but all my college friends are like noooo you'll want to EAT in college. But I'm only going to Community College so I'll be home everyday *loser* So yeah~ *coughshoppingspreecough*

Speaking of cough, I can still taste that awful syrup, but I think my throat feels better now. If only the headache would take a hike. I'd try to sleep but for some reason there's nothing more miserable to me than lying in bed sick. I'd prefer to be up and about distracting myself from impending death (and no doubt aggravating my condition), by talking to you fine folks online. Priorities are a problem area for me.
